Urinary Incontinence

The most common bladder concern people have is bladder leakage also known as urinary incontinence.  Sometimes that leakage might happen with increased pressure on the bladder; like coughing or lifting, which is called stress urinary incontinence, or with an urgency trigger like the sound of running water; urge incontinence.  Regardless of what is causing your leakage, Indigo is your resource for expert care to improve your bladder health.  We will work with you to understand the details of your symptoms and then evaluate the specific function of your pelvic floor muscles.  Our Baltimore pelvic health experts will identify exactly what is contributing to your symptoms and formulate a plan with you to get back to normal bladder health.  Say goodbye to panty liners and leakage!

Cystocele

Pelvic organ prolapse of the bladder is a cystocele.  This may cause changes in bladder health such as hesitancy, leakage and heaviness in the vagina.  Our goal is to help you improve support for your bladder with the pelvic floor and your inner core muscles.  But to really reduce your prolapse we must improve your movement patterns, core and hip strength and stability, fascial tension and overall pelvic health.

Care at Indigo involves many different treatment options including manual therapy, targeted exercises for the pelvic floor and the core muscles as well as detailed bladder health training and education.  Indigo also offers pelvic floor biofeedback to improve your pelvic health.  We work with you to improve your pelvic support and reduce symptoms of cystocele!

Bladder Pain

Many different factors or conditions can cause bladder pain- but you don’t have to feel out of control.  At Indigo, our experts are trained to find the root cause of your pain and decrease it!  Not only do we want to reduce and eliminate your pain but we want to teach you how to remain pain free!  By working together we will get you back to feeling in control of your pain, your bladder and your body.

The most common bladder pains we help people overcome is painful bladder syndrome and interstitial cystitis.  These conditions cause pelvic floor muscle pain and heightened pain responses.  Our specialists will utilize manual therapy to improve your pelvic floor muscle health and targeted pain reduction tools to help your bladder function in a calm, pain free manner. It is possible to have less pain and feel in control; let us help you.
